What type of information we have and how we got it

The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons: When you make a purchase we will need to collect delivery address information and we ask you to provide some information on your horse (to provide the correct product) and invite you to tell us your reason for purchase.

We also invite you in our confirmation email to contact us by email to ask any questions you may have and to update us on your horse’s progress.

We may also interact with you by social media such as Facebook but we do not store information about you from those sources (eg videos) without your explicit consent.

When you visit equinebreathing.com we use third-party services, Google Analytics and Statcounter, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. Website statistics are not retained by us and are deleted from the Statcounter site after 6 days. Anonymous Google Analytics data is treated by Google in accordance with their standard privacy policy.

Why we have this information

The standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns are used to find out such things as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. Data that you provided to us in connection with your purchase including personally identifiable data such as names, email addresses and street addresses are retained by us to facilitate future orders and in particular the option to receive discounted repeat orders.

Orders are via PayPal only and hence we have no access to any of your financial information.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting [email protected]

What we do with the information we have We use the information that you have given us on the website in order to facilitate future orders and in particular the option to receive discounted repeat orders and to provide personal advice on the use of Equine Breathing for your horse.

You may have shared personally identifiable information with us on social media (typically photos or videos) and given us explicit consent to keep this information. You may also have contacted us by email and we may retain these emails.

We do not share any of your information with third parties under any circumstances without your explicit consent on each and every occasion.

How we store your information

Order records are contained in Excel spreadsheets and access is password protected. This information is not shared with any third party and will be destroyed if Equine Breathing ceases trading.

Any downloaded videos or photos you have sent us are stored on our systems and access is password protected. Any use of these media is only with you explicit consent.

Email correspondence is downloaded from our email sever, deleted from the server and stored locally on our email system. Access is password protected and we will not share any of this correspondence without your explicit permission and will destroy this information if Equine Breathing ceases trading.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:
